It’s been five years since my last visit to Paris but the uplift with this amazing city is always the same. The reason why I went to Paris was my friend Melanie birthday’s party, so there was no excuse… I had to be there! On the day we arrived we spent most of our time on Montmartre – where we were sleeping. Montmartre is a place where you never get bored or tired of Paris. Small streets, cute caffes and restaurants, creperies… Everything is so awesomely romantic. You just want to spend all your time there, tasting French cheese and drinking good wine :)
Saturday was dedicated to littlle bit of shopping and art & culture sightseeing. And when in Paris you always some interesting place where you’ve never been before. This time we went to Louis Vuitton Fondation – a multimediatic contemporary art museum & gallery space where you can forget about the outside world and get immerged into fabulous artist works. This time we had the chance to see the Chinese artists at a time of turbulence and transformation exposition with some of the most prominent artists from that area and really enjoyed our time spent at this magnificent place – so exclusive but at the same time friendly and cordial to its visitors.
Speaking about shopping there is nothing impossible in Paris as you probably know. One my favorite districts in Paris is certainly Le Marais, known for its designer shops, LGBT and Jewish community. That’s why you find the most delicious falafels in more than one place in Le Marais and it’s an absolute ‘must have’ while you’re there. On the other hand, you can find all the designer shops such as COS, Zadig & Voltair, Bimba y Lola, and so on… A paradise for good (and quite expensive) shopping. But we also had the chance to discover another great shop for the fashionistas looking for something different and that is Rodarte & other stories. Heaven on Earth.
But, what would be Paris without friends? Absolutelly nothing :) In the evening we went to my friend’s birthday party where we had a lot of fun… Slept until late on Sunday, had a delicious breakfast and the rest is…. history :) (Since my flight was cancelled due to a strike at the airport, the rest of the time spent in Paris was not so much fun!)
